Glulam arches spaced at 32' centers were used to clear span the width of this 160' x 1475' storage facility. The 85' tall building, which was designed, supplied and erected by WWS, is used to store potash -a highly corrosive ingredient of fertilizer- until ready for export across the Pacific. Engineered wood was an ideal building component for this project since it does not require special corrosive protection. |
