Timber Decking

Heavy timber decking offers designers on opportunity to create a distinctive and elegant design where a natural wood setting is desired.  Laminated decking is available in lengths up to 24' and in a variety of species including Douglas Fir/Larch, Ponderosa Pine, and Inland Red Cedar.  Laminated decking can be specified in 6" or 8" widths and 2", 3", 4" or even 5" nominal depths depending on the loads and beam spacing.

WWS furnished and installed the heavy timber roof structure for this building near Seattle, WA.  The decking is 2" solid sawn Douglas Fir.


WWS designed and supplied the glulam roof structure for this new gymnasium in South Korea.  The main glulams were spliced in the center in order to facilitate shipment by container.  Solid sawn 2" Douglas Fir decking was used as sheathing.
